Brent Ussary is an enterprise builder and leadership architect in the financial services industry, focused on equipping advisors and leaders with the structure, systems, and discipline required to build sustainable growth. He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Field Leadership at MassMutual Great Lakes, where he leads the firm’s field organization, oversees Managing Directors and Managing Associates, guides high-potential advisors, and partners closely with senior leadership to elevate advisor productivity, develop next-generation leaders, and unlock compounding growth across the organization.
Brent’s leadership philosophy is rooted in clarity over complexity and structure over chaos. His work centers on building leadership cadence, accountability, and development frameworks that strengthen execution across the field while reinforcing culture and long-term firm value. He is deeply involved in setting expectations, aligning leadership standards, and ensuring consistency across teams as the firm continues to scale.
Raised in a family of multi-generational business owners, Brent brings a builder’s mindset to leadership and planning. He began his career in financial services in 2011 and has built a strong track record of developing leaders, driving recruiting outcomes, and strengthening advisor performance through disciplined execution and intentional growth.
Brent is a FINSECA Influencer Member and remains committed to staying engaged in the broader financial services community, including continued involvement with the CFA Society of Detroit and the Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit.
At the center of Brent’s life are his wife, Danielle, and their two children, Stella and Barron.
